Eriez' line of powerful, permanent magnetic Ferrous Traps provide magnetic protection for liquid lines and processing equipment. They preserve product purity and help prevent equipment damage by removing small particles of magnetic scale, rust and fine iron contamination from liquid product flows.

Large ferrous trap to remove ferrous contamination in 6-36 in. (152-914mm) pipelines. Rugged welded pipe and reinforced plate construction withstands working pressures up to 75psi (5.3kg/sq cm)in standard models. Typically associated with removing tramp metal from paper stock.

The standard units are constructed of mild steel with stainless magnetic tubes. Internal surfaces can be epoxy resin coated for corrosion resistance. All stainless steel units are also available. Bottom of the body provides sump for trapping heavy nonmagnetic tramp metal, stones, etc. A bottom plug allows for draining of sump. Frequent cleaning maintains separation efficiency. Primarily for upright lines, however, they may also be mounted sideways, or in inclined or vertical lines.
