SAFELINE Overhead Sweep Reject Mechanism
Mettler-Toledo Safeline
Description
: An Overhead Sweep automatic reject mechanism is often used to remove contaminated or out of spec products from high speed processing lines because it can sweep product off the belt from both sides and does not have to reset or retract like a Push/Punch mechanism. It is also used where space is limited because no pneumatic cylinder protrudes from the conveyor. It can be designed for pneumatic actuation or with an electric motor where no compressed air is available.

SAFELINE Push/Punch Automatic Reject Mechanism
Mettler-Toledo Safeline
Description
: The Push/Punch automatic reject mechanism utilizes a pneumatic cylinder to push or punch contaminated or out of spec product off the production line. It is used for both large and small packaged products with relatively rigid packaging and is very precise in targeting the specific product to be removed. It should not be used for very high line speeds -- use an Overhead Sweep reject mechanism instead.
