Planetary Mixer

Planetary mixers feature a set of rotating blades that sweep off-axis to the drive motor within a tank. While one blade scours the tank surface, the other disperses the mixture. They can be applied for mixing liquids, liquids with suspended solids or with powders and granular materials. Both single and double planetary models are available in a variety of sizes from lab applications to heavy duty industrial applications, some offering manual or hydraulic lift options. Planetary mixers are generally used for medium to high viscosity applications, such as pastes. They are an effective solution for mixing, dispersing, kneading and de-aerating products. A number of manufacturers offer sanitary models with a variety of polishes and valve options that simplify the cleaning process.
