Industrial Vibratory Feeders (Food Processing)

Vibratory feeders consist of an open or closed frame tray mounted on a vibratory drive and a material hopper that sits above the tray. The drive vibrates the tray to cause the movement of material into the process. Vibratory feeders provide accurate and reliable feeding of bulk granular ingredients and rough grained powders. They are often used with abrasive, friable or fragile ingredients that might be degraded if handled by a screw feeder. They can be used in numerous industries and in the food industry they are often applied in mixing, weighing, batching and packaging applications. They can also be used in spreading spices across food products moving on a conveyor belt. A vibratory feeder can be engineered with a variety of tray sizes and designs to accommodate a wide range of feed rates. In addition, they can be used volumetrically or mounted on a scale (or load cells) to offer gravimetric loss-in-weight feeding.
