Chain Conveyors (Food Processing)

The term “Chain Conveyor” encompasses a wide range of conveying systems based on the use of plastic or metal chain to transport food products in processing or packaging applications. Conveyor chain is used for material conveyance in specialty application, in harsh conditions or when material can be allowed to fall through gaps in the conveying surface. Both standard and customized chain conveyor systems are available in a variety of widths and with a large selection of chains and components to meet the stringent hygiene requirements of the food industry. Manufactures offer FDA approved materials for food applications. Chain conveying systems range in size from small tabletop conveyors, engineered for a variety of packaged product handling applications, to large customized systems for handling wheat and rice that offer capacities from 10-2,000 tons and can be designed horizontally on an inclined plane, vertically and around bends.
